The Women’s U20 National Team will first travel to Cardiff, Wales for the Transatlantic Quad Series, where they will play against Canada, Wales and England from July 14th to 24th.
The U18s will play three matches against international teams in a festival-style competition, which will also be held in Cardiff from July 20th to 28th. The focus of this event will be on early development with joint training sessions, festival-style mid-week competitions and full matches at the end of the week.
Match dates, times and live stream information is still being collected and will be shared on the USA Rugby Channel when available.
“These competitions provide some very exciting summer activities,” Mr Daines said. “We will once again be hosting two regional camps for our U18 teams, bringing together the top 40 players from the eastern and western regions of the country.” This will validate the talent we have already identified through collaboration and community events. It’s a productive opportunity.
“For the Under-20s, we are pleased to extend the program’s preparation period with the support of our camp venue, Mount St. Our goal is to continue to increase exposure time with these young, up-and-coming athletes and help them develop the high-performance habits needed to compete on the world stage. That’s what I do.”
In 2023, USA Rugby and the New England Free Jacks will partner to host a Border Battle match between the U.S. and Canadian U23 programs. Both organizations are pleased to be working together again for this year’s U23 All-Star Championship in June.
All eight regional teams from the 2023 tournament will return for this year’s tournament, which will be held June 28 and 30 at Veterans Stadium in Quincy, Massachusetts. The tournament is hosted by the New England Freejacks and sponsored in part by Major League Rugby. The All-Star Championship will serve as the selection venue for the Women’s U23 Top 40 Camp, which aims to attract the most promising 15s and 7s players later in the summer. More information on game schedules, times and teams coming soon.
