JC Latham, drafted by Titans, says he’s “very excited” after giving Goodell a lift
Tennessee Titans draftee J.C. Latham was a bit of an understatement, saying he was “very excited” after being hoisted by offensive tackle while hugging NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on stage in Detroit.
“The commissioner checked with me and he confirmed he was OK after the bear hug,” NFL Network broadcaster Kayleigh Hartung said of the 6-foot-6 Latham.
“I had to let him know, no, I had to let him know. I’m so excited,” Latham said.

Malik Nabors’ jacket is full of memories from his journey to the draft.
LSU wide receiver and current New York Giants draft pick Malik Nabors didn’t stick his chest out tonight, he stuck it out on the lining of his suit jacket.
“This represents my journey when I came to LSU,” he told Kaylee Hartung on the NFL Network broadcast while showing off the lining, which had pictures of footballs and other memorabilia on it.
“I have a lot of memories here. All the memories here are the reason I’m here today,” he said.
Nabors was selected with the sixth pick.
“I want to be the best teammate I can be, contribute to the community, give my all, and show them what kind of athlete I am,” he said.
JC Latham will be a big part of the Titans’ run game.
There are some concerns about Latham’s pass protection, but his grip strength and lower body power make him an asset in the run game.
