ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board on Friday approved several projects, including conducting a third-party audit of all its projects to eliminate corruption, restoring and upgrading the IJ Principal Road’s north service road, and the rehabilitation and expansion of the road from Kashmir Chowk to Faizabad Interchange along Murree Road.
Additionally, approval was granted for the purchase of necessary equipment for establishing a GIS (Geographic Information System) laboratory in the Special Technology Wing, among other projects.
The CDA Board also decided to cancel the allotments of government accommodations that were allocated to officers and other employees but have been unlawfully given to other individuals.
The sixth meeting of the CDA Board, chaired by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, was held on Friday at the CDA Headquarters, with participation from board members and relevant officers. Several agenda items were discussed in detail and final decisions were made.
One of the key decisions was to conduct a third-party audit of all CDA projects. The board emphasised that CDA is committed to transparency, quality standards, and merit.
The board also approved the restoration and upgrading of the IJ Principal Road’s North Service Road to ease commuting issues for citizens. Similarly, the rehabilitation and expansion of the road from Kashmir Chowk to Faizabad Interchange along Murree Road was also approved.
