OMAHA — The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce has announced the newest members of the Omaha Business Hall of Fame.

The two women and five men, three of whom are from the same family, will be formally inducted at a banquet on Aug. 21 at the Holland Performing Arts Center.

They join the ranks of other prominent Omaha-area business groups that have been recognized since 1993 for their achievements, contributions and dedication to business and the community.

The hall was opened 31 years ago as part of the Chamber’s 100th anniversary celebrations, and information about the inductees’ achievements is featured in a permanent exhibit at the Durham Museum.

Chamber president and CEO Heath Mello said this year’s winners, drawn from the home services, transportation, arts and entertainment, medical research and banking industries, reflect the region’s “diverse economy.”
