China Eastern Airlines announced that it has signed a contract with COMAC to purchase 100 more C919 passenger aircraft, in addition to the five it ordered in 2021.
The company said five aircraft will be delivered in 2024, followed by 10 each year for the next three years, and 15 each year from 2028 to 2030. Annual deliveries are expected to reach 20 aircraft in 2031.

The Plateau Suit Jet has a shorter aircraft length and is equipped with more oxygen tanks, allowing it to continue to supply oxygen even if the aircraft depressurizes, and its engines have more thrust, allowing it to support sustained flight at high altitudes where the air is thinner.
They are also equipped with a more accurate satellite communication system to accommodate complex terrain.
