CM Maryam Nawaz reaches Turkiye to attend Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz received a warm welcome at Antalya Airport from Deputy Governor Prof Dr Saad Aoglo upon her arrival to attend the international conference organised under the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 in Turkiye.

Immediately after her arrival, the CM attended the inaugural session of the conference. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the opening ceremony and welcomed the participants.

Former Vice President of Turkiye and Vice Chairman of the AK Party, Fawad Qatay, along with other prominent leaders, also met with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The CM expressed her profound gratitude for the invitation to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Conference 2025. She remarked, “Pakistan-Turkiye relations are not merely diplomatic; they are rooted in devotion, love, and trust.”

Later, the CM attended a special dinner hosted by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Her visit to Turkiye is at the invitation of the First Lady of Turkiye, Ms. Emine Erdogan.

Earlier, Deputy Governor Dr. Saad Aoglo and other senior officials warmly welcomed CM Maryam Nawaz at Antalya Airport and conveyed their best wishes.

The CM is scheduled to address the Antalya Diplomacy Conference today. The theme of the conference is ‘Building the Future in a Divided World: Education! A Power to Bring Change’.

She will highlight the initiatives undertaken by her government and her party’s manifesto for the promotion of education in Punjab.

CM Maryam Nawaz also thanked the Turkish government and leadership for their gracious hospitality and warm reception in Antalya. Senior Provincial Minister of Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb is accompanying her on the visit.
