LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that a metro bus service will be launched in Faisalabad next year.

Addressing a Laptop and Honhaar Scholarship Phase-II ceremony at GC University Faisalabad, she announced that green electric buses would also be launched in the city.

She said a Faisalabad Development Plan would be initiated, following the model of Lahore. She also vowed to make the rural settlements of Faisalabad division into model villages with a uniform development pattern with cities.

The chief minister also said, “The whole nation takes pride in the bravery of our officers and soldiers of the armed forces who defeated the enemy on every front. Pakistan got a historic victory. If the people were divided and the leadership was not united, we could not have achieved such a historic victory against the enemy. The historic victory united the entire nation.”

She highlighted, “Our security forces bravely fought the war against the enemy and the entire nation stood behind them in every respect. We not only won the war but also ensured a bright future for the entire nation.”
