The 2024 NFL Draft weekend was a productive one for Confefence USA. Especially for the UTEP minors, he was a historic draft where they had not one, but two selections. A total of three players from Conference USA schools had their names called. With these three selections, CUSA has had 62 players selected in the NFL Draft since 2016.
Here are the important things to know about the newest talent in the Conference USA NFL.

Malachi Coley (Western Kentucky WR) – New York Jets, 65th overall
Corey spent all four of his collegiate seasons at Western Kentucky University, recording 259 receptions for 3,035 yards and 29 touchdowns. Corey also had an impressive performance at Senior Bowl practice, helping the Jets get a chance in a rejuvenated offense that needs help.
Tyrice Knight (UTEP LB) – Seattle Seahawks, 118th overall
Over the past four seasons, no player in Conference USA has had more tackles than Tyrice Knight. In 2023 alone, he won 140 titles. Knight is the first UTEP player to be drafted since 2018. He finished his college career with 32 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.
Elijah Klein (UTEP OL) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 220th overall
Klein has started games at four different offensive line positions this season alone. He started a whopping 50 consecutive games for the Minors over the past few seasons. With Klein’s selection, 2024 will be the first time since 2008 that multiple UTEP players will be selected in the NFL Draft.
