Weather Summer starts cool, followed by warm weather Spring
Today’s high of 72 degrees makes it the coolest June 1st for Indianapolis in nine years. 72 degrees is the normal high temperature for May 10-12. This marks the fifth consecutive day of below-normal temperatures. This cool start to June also follows one of the warmest weather springs on record for Indianapolis.
March through May was the third warmest on record, and May of 2024 was the 10th warmest on record. This is not surprising, considering that 67% of days from March through May were warmer than normal.
Rain brings muggy dew points again, followed by warmth
Rain fell across much of central Indiana on Saturday, with occasional showers occurring late in the morning and into the afternoon.
