Temperatures will drop over the weekend as the monsoon high moves away from our region. Low pressure over the west coast will cool the air masses above and deepen the marine layer, which will intensify the cooling trend. Drizzle may occur as the marine layer deepens from Friday into Saturday.
Air quality: Good to fair
Friday: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy along the coast, with highs in the 60s to low 70s F, inland mostly sunny, with highs in the 70s to around 102 F. Winds increasing in the valleys later during the day. Low clouds will thicken and push inland late in the day.
stay: Mostly cloudy along the coast, mostly cloudy in the inland valleys, scattered drizzle around the bay, fog in the foothills. Lows in the 50s F along the coast and inland valleys, with a few 40s F in the sunny highland valleys.
Saturday: Partly cloudy to cloudy along the coast with highs in the 60s, and sunny inland with highs in the 70s to 90s. Winds will pick up in the valleys as the day darkens.
Extension: Clouds will spread along the coast this weekend and temperatures will remain cool, before high pressure slowly returns next week, bringing temperatures back up and a return of monsoon moisture from Tuesday onwards, bringing at least some mid to upper level clouds.
