Stowe firefighters spent several hours extinguishing the warehouse fire Wednesday afternoon. Interim Fire Chief Scott Reeves told NBC5 they responded to the fire around 3:45 p.m. Reeves said he was able to respond quickly because the warehouse was located directly behind the police station on South Main Street. According to its website, Kit Lender is an outdoor equipment rental and clothing company. No injuries were reported, and the fire chief announced that everyone was able to safely escape from the warehouse. As of 8pm on Wednesday, firefighters were still on scene extinguishing hot spots.
