Delhi will witness a fierce political battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian bloc comprising the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). In the national capital, bulk voting will be held in all seven constituencies on May 25 in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Delhi Lok Sabha Elections: What’s the deadline for May 25?
All liquor shops and other licensed shops in Delhi and adjoining areas of Faridabad and Gurgaon will be closed from 6pm on May 23 to 6pm on May 25 due to polling day on Saturday. . Also, according to a notification issued by the Excise Department, no sale of liquor will take place in these cities on June 4, the date of declaration of results for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
It is worth mentioning that schools were also closed in the capital due to the heatwave situation. Therefore, the Delhi government has directed all private schools to declare summer vacation with immediate effect. Additionally, banks will be closed on the fourth Saturday of the month, May 25th. During the fifth phase, the Reserve Bank of India has announced bank holidays in some cities.
Delhi Lok Sabha Elections: What’s up for grabs?
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that metro train services on all routes will begin at 4 am on May 25, the day of polling in the national capital. Services on all Delhi Metro routes will begin at 4 am to ensure that personnel deployed for election duty can avail the facilities. Trains will run at intervals of 30 minutes on all lines till 6 am.”
Similarly, Delhi Transport Corporation will also operate additional bus services on 35 routes from 4 am on May 25. Also, Delhi Integrated Multi Model Transport System Ltd (DIMTS) will also operate bus services on his 46 routes. These routes are strategically planned to provide easy access to polling stations in Delhi for employees, security personnel and police personnel residing in remote areas within the National Capital Region (NCR), including border areas of Delhi .
