Delta Airlines flight attendants ignore lewd behavior of business class passenger on New York-Athens flight

Delta Airlines flight attendants ignore lewd behavior of business class passenger on New York-Athens flight

by Gary Leff June 15, 2024

A Delta Airlines passenger was found in a dangerous situation on a flight from New York JFK to Athens after he was “visibly intoxicated” and began “making loud, obnoxious noises” and apparently having fun a few hours into the flight.

The man sitting in the row in front of him tried to call for a flight attendant but no one answered, so he eventually got up and went to the galley to tell the flight attendant what was going on.

We are trying to contact someone. The guy behind us is masturbating, making very explicit noises and fondling himself through his trousers. We are extremely uncomfortable.

She promised to “notify the crew leader,” but nothing was done and the man continued his behavior “off and on for several hours.” I’m not sure if that’s actually terrifying or awe-inspiring.

A man who witnessed the commotion said he had “video evidence” that the passenger, who is in his early 50s, continued to make noise unabated.

The passenger who filmed the incident and reported it to flight attendants returned home on United Airlines, flying from Athens to Newark, but no other business class passengers engaged in similar behavior.

United Airlines trains its flight attendants to stop passengers from watching pornography on board, but that didn’t stop one business class passenger from ignoring a flight attendant’s request to turn it off.

A flight attendant once shared a story on her Facebook feed about a passenger who spent so much time in the bathroom that other passengers became concerned and the flight attendant eventually began to suspect a medical emergency. After multiple knocks, the passenger emerged from the bathroom with an iPad in hand. He went into the bathroom to watch a “movie.”

Sometimes it’s flight attendants who are watching porn: Air Canada once warned its pilots not to keep porn in the cockpit, and Etihad Airways pilots once warned that their in-flight Wi-Fi was too slow to download porn.
