Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and the U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team are inching closer to action next week when they face Canada in the USA Basketball Showcase in Las Vegas.
The game kicks off at 7:30pm Wednesday on FS1.
The U.S. team, which qualified for the 2023 FIBA World Cup last September, will open its Olympic schedule on Sunday, July 28, at 8:15 a.m. Arizona time against Serbia.

Meanwhile, in one of the NBA’s more elite matchups on Saturday, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Greece defeated Luka Doncic’s Slovenia 96-68 in the qualifying tournament to clinch a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Antetokounmpo scored 13 points in just 21 minutes, and the team got a boost from Greek Basketball League star Thomas Walkup, who finished with 19 points.
It was Antetokounmpo and Doncic’s first international game, and despite the loss, both scored 21 points.
Deandre Ayton’s Bahamas are also on the verge of booking a trip to Paris after beating Lebanon 89-72 in the tournament semifinals.
Former Suns center Ayton contributed with 24 points and 15 rebounds in the win and continues to perform well as an international player, averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds through three games.
The big man is part of a talented Bahamian roster that also includes former Suns guard Eric Gordon, swingman Buddy Hield and dynamic Baylor freshman VJ Edgecomb, who will be coached by Golden State assistant Chris DeMarco.
Greece will face Croatia and the Bahamas will face a hard-hitting Spain in the finals at noon Sunday, streamed live on courtside1891.basketball.
Greece is now one win away from qualifying for the Olympics, a first for Antetokounmpo.
If the Bahamas wins, it will be the first time the island nation has qualified for an Olympic basketball domestic tournament.
