Beauty trends come and go, and many people regret the way they looked in their teens and early twenties.
If you were alive during the early 2000s, there’s one style that’s making a comeback, whether you’re ready for it or not.
That’s right, get ready to say goodbye to your favorite Kylie Jenner lip gloss or Charlotte Tilbury lipstick: The concealer lip is back.
For those of you who weren’t walking around with pale lips in the 2000s, the trend is to apply a little bit of concealer to your lips that matches your skin tone.
You can also apply a little bit of lip gloss on top so that it doesn’t look matte.
Maybe it’ll remind some of their middle school days, but this nostalgic look has already been trending on TikTok in recent months.

Beauty influencer @rachelray32 shared her lip routine on the app, going so far as to say she’s “obsessed” with the look.
“I’m obsessed with putting concealer on my lips,” she says excitedly as she swipes a dab of concealer on her lips.
Of course, not everyone is convinced by the trend’s revival.
In fact, comedian Erin Miller is so terrified by the resurgence of this trend that she decided to create a skit based on it.
The beauty guru hilariously filmed herself with mascara running down her face while helping herself to the iconic lip gloss container.
And she said, “Don’t forget to put on some Lancôme Juicy Tube at the end.”
Needless to say, the video went viral, with over 258,000 views within 24 hours.
Of course, many have commented on the nostalgia trend.
One person complained: “The return of concealer lipstick is completely unacceptable.”
“Lips with concealer always look flaky,” claimed another, while others joked that their natural appearance left them blemished.
A third wrote: “I’m a big PTSD From concealer lips! Never do this again!
Some rejected the suggestion, with a fourth saying: “I didn’t do a concealer lip the first time and I’m not going to do it this time either.”
But naturally, some people were nostalgic about using concealer on their lips.
As the video continues to go viral, one woman said she had the same look back in the 2000s.
She explained: “[This] It called me back immediately. I’m sure I had that exact juicy tube.”
Others said they learned the lip trick from a loved one, with a fifth saying: “My grandmother taught me in 2003 and I still do it to this day.”
Another woman revealed that she’d kept the same lip gloss in her bag for decades.
She told others: “I remember the day my boss showed me her Juicy Tube. She was a queen. Since then, I’ve always had it in my handbag.”
Love it or hate it, concealer lip is here to stay.
