Unless you’ve intentionally avoided social media, the viral trend of “peeking between the keyboards” would have been very hard to miss. Under this trend, people answer questions using abbreviations that spell out specific words placed between different letters on the keyboard. Usually posts shared on her trend make people laugh a lot, but that’s exactly what happened when this woman took advantage of the trend to tweet about her boss and break the news about her own rating. Ta.

One woman shared what her boss told her about an appraisal that capitalized on the viral trend of “looking between the keyboards.” (Unsplash/Christine Hume Photo)

“The boss needs to hesitate,” wrote an X user named @daalmakhniiii. She also shared a screenshot of her conversation with her boss. The first text she says is, “Baal Sabko’s appraisal is Milega (everyone will be appraised this time).” It is followed by another text that says, “Look between her H and L on the keyboard.” For those who don’t know, the letters between H and L are JK – just kidding.

Post shared 1 day ago. Since then, the tweet has gone viral and has been viewed over 3.5 million times by him, and that number is rapidly increasing. The share also received a large number of likes and comments from people.

What are X users saying about tweets about appraisals?

“Are the Teams and Instagram interfaces different?” asked user X. The original replied, “Mera wala insta pe baat karta hai (My boss speaks on Instagram).”

“Is your boss funny or serious?” added another.

“If your boss has to hesitate, that means you should find one new job,” a third person suggested.

A fourth wrote: “The boss is also on trend.”

Some people used the laughing-out-loud emoticon, while others asked what “JK” meant. The original poster replied that it meant “just kidding.” Google says the term is used to “indicate that something said should not be taken seriously.”

How did this humorous appraisal make you feel? Did it leave you with a smile or an outright laugh?
