The Fiesta Sports Foundation has partnered with the Arizona High School Football Association for a new program that will recognize the 50 best high school football players in the state.

The inaugural Fiesta Sports Foundation Preseason All-State Football Team will be celebrated at the Arizona Bank & Trust Fiesta Sports Foundation Football Kickoff in-person event at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess on Aug. 15. The team includes 29 boys in tackle football and 21 girls in flag football.

Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald will be the keynote speaker at the ceremony.

The winners were determined by a selection committee made up of coaches, media, officials and representatives from the Fiesta Sports Foundation and the United States Football Association.

“Having seen the rapid growth of flag football over the last year, we know Arizona will be a leader in the sport, as evidenced by the fact that several of our award recipients have already been named to the USA Football National Team,” said Eric Moses, executive director and CEO of the Fiesta Sports Foundation. “Our inaugural Preseason All-State Team is another example of how we are elevating the sport in partnership with the AIA. With so much talent in Arizona, this was a difficult decision, but we are confident that the student-athletes selected are worthy of the honor.”
