Lok Sabha Elections Live: “Rs 8,500 will be deposited in women’s accounts every month from July,” says Priyanka Gandhi

As the Lok Sabha elections continue in the country, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Thursday said the Indian Alliance government will work towards women empowerment if it is formed.

“Our sisters across the country are enthusiastic and ready to form the Union Government of India. With Rs 8,500 being deposited in women’s accounts every month, or Rs 100,000 annually, from July, each household will economic situation will change,” she said.

She further emphasized that some government jobs empower women. “The Centre’s contribution towards the honorarium of Asha, Anganwadi and Cook sisters will be doubled. A Rs 2.5 million insurance scheme will take them out of the quagmire of medical expenses. Things will change,” she asserted.

Earlier on Wednesday, Priyanka criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party’s inability to fight high inflation while campaigning for her brother and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

“Women across the country say the same thing: inflation has made life difficult. It’s hard to run a household. Every household item has become unaffordable. A cylinder that costs 400 rupees now costs 1,200 rupees. You can buy oil, pulses, flour, sugar, rice, vegetables, everything is very expensive,” she said.

He added that it has become difficult for the public to pay for their children’s education and medical expenses, adding, “Today, the people are demanding accountability, but instead of responding, the prime minister is talking about irrelevant matters and cautioning them.” “We’re trying to deflect from that,” he said. But the people understand everything, and the same wooden pot does not boil over and over again. This time the people will vote on their issues and form a government for the common people, not just the billionaires. ”
