Lok Sabha Elections Live: “Rs 8,500 will be deposited in women’s accounts every month from July,” says Priyanka Gandhi
As the Lok Sabha elections continue in the country, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Thursday said the Indian Alliance government will work towards women empowerment if it is formed.
“Our sisters across the country are enthusiastic and ready to form the Union Government of India. With Rs 8,500 being deposited in women’s accounts every month, or Rs 100,000 annually, from July, each household will economic situation will change,” she said.

He added that it has become difficult for the public to pay for their children’s education and medical expenses, adding, “Today, the people are demanding accountability, but instead of responding, the prime minister is talking about irrelevant matters and cautioning them.” “We’re trying to deflect from that,” he said.
