Five Tech Football kickoff times announced – Football – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Flat – The Georgia Tech football team will begin its 2024 home slate with a primetime matchup against Georgia State and close the regular season with a primetime game against arch-rival Georgia. The Yellow Jackets’ five kickoff times were announced Thursday by the Atlantic Coast Conference and its television partners.

The five kickoff times and TV broadcasts are as follows:

Saturday, August 31 vs. Georgia State – 8:00 PM (TV: ACC Network)
Saturday, September 7, Syracuse – Noon (TV: ACC Network)
Saturday, September 14 vs. VMI, 3:30 p.m. (TV: ACC Network Extra)
Thursday, November 21 vs. NC State – 7:30 p.m. (TV: ESPN)
Friday, November 29, Georgia – 7:30pm (TV: ABC)

Tech was selected for primetime coverage on the ACC Network for its home opener against Georgia State. Huddle There was also additional live programming on campus over Labor Day weekend. Last season, ACCN hosted two primetime television broadcasts from Hyundai Field’s Bobby Dodd Stadium, airing key wins over No. 17 North Carolina and Syracuse that propelled the Yellow Jackets to their first bowl game appearance in five seasons.

The move to Friday night means the Jackets’ annual showdown with arch-rival Georgia will be played in primetime on ABC for the second consecutive year and just the second time in the history of the teams’ 118-game series that it will be played on a Friday. The only other time the Yellow Jackets and Bulldogs have met on Black Friday was on Nov. 25, 1994 in Athens.

Combined with the previously announced noon ET kickoff for the season-opening Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland against Florida State (TV: ESPN), kickoff times for half of Georgia Tech’s 12 regular season games in 2024 have now been determined. Kickoff times and television designations for the remaining games will be determined no later than 12 days prior to kickoff this fall.

Single Game Ticket

Single-game tickets are on sale now for Georgia Tech’s five 2024 home games at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field (Aug. 31 vs. Georgia State, Sept. 14 vs. VMI, Oct. 5 vs. Duke, Nov. 9 vs. Miami (Fla.) and Nov. 21 vs. NC State) and can be purchased by clicking here. hereAs of now, the only way to secure tickets to the Yellow Jackets’ home showdown against Notre Dame on Oct. 19 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is to purchase 2024 Georgia Tech football season tickets.

Alexander Tharp Foundation

The Alexander Tharp Foundation is Georgia Tech’s athletic fundraising arm, providing scholarships, operational and facilities support to the school’s more than 400 student-athletes.
