I know we’re biased, but we should be number one. Ford Fireworks was named #2 Best Place to Watch Fireworks in USA Today’s 2024 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
“The Detroit Ford Fireworks Show is so large that it requires not one or two but a total of three barges to set off the fireworks,” the award states. “In addition to the colorful display that unfolds in the sky above the Detroit River, spectators can enjoy live music and an abundance of food and beverages.”

Each week, USA TODAY 10Best invites a panel of industry experts to recommend their favorite sights and attractions across a wide range of categories. 10Best’s editors review these nominations and select a final set of candidates to present to the voting public over a four-week period.
The Ford Fireworks will take place on June 24 at 10 p.m. Produced by Parade Inc. in collaboration with Zambelli Fireworks, this year’s theme is “Lighting the Sky with Sunshine,” and more than 10,000 fireworks and pyrotechnics are scheduled to be shot off with musical accompaniment.
