Security forces continue operations against groups spreading terror, unrest in religion’s name

Shocking revelations have emerged regarding the activities of Fitna al-Khawarij, a terrorist group that allegedly misuses religion to radicalise youth against the Pakistan Army.

The alleged video confession was aired live by state broadcaster PTV News, then picked up by private news media channels.

Alleged foreign militant, identified as Ehsanullah, son of Abdul Janan from the Mehsud tribe, disclosed that he supported commanders Badri, Mushtaq, Grenade, and Islamuddin for three years. He revealed that Fitna al-Khawarij manipulated young people to carry out terrorist attacks, including assaults on police stations and the use of armoured vehicles.

Fitna al-Khawarij is a term the state uses to refer to terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan post May 2025 war with India.

Ehsanullah said several commanders exploited youth for personal gains, encouraging immoral behaviour and wrongdoing. He claimed the group falsely labelled the Pakistan Army as non-Muslims, while in reality, the terrorists themselves were apostates. He noted that he observed army personnel performing prayers regularly, demonstrating their faith.

The terrorist said he personally learned prayers and the Kalima, which he had not known before, and appealed to young people to support the Pakistan Army to prevent and eliminate terrorist elements. He said the actions of Fitna al-Khawarij had caused widespread destruction.

Security forces continue operations against those spreading terror, hatred, and unrest in the name of religion. Authorities remain committed to eliminating Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists from the country.
