Noelia Vogt is taking on the 77th Cannes Film Festival with her sights set on the future.
The 24-year-old gave up her Miss USA 2023 title earlier this month to focus on her mental health and headed to Cannes for the first time, a trip she told insiders was a “spur of the moment decision,” according to Vogt.
In addition to soaking up the beautiful scenery of the French Riviera, the Cannes experience also gave Voight an opportunity to hone her fashion chops.
“After competing in pageants for seven years, I had accumulated a lot of clothing and had a few styles to choose from,” says Voight, a Utah native. When it came to choosing an outfit appropriate for the glamorous film festival, Voight was eager to refresh her style after so many years of competing in pageants.

“Even when I was still competing in beauty pageants, there was definitely (or at least used to be) a ‘pageant style’ that was about pushing the boundaries,” she says. “Now that I’ve left that chapter of my life behind and am in a place like Cannes, I’m surrounded by high fashion, which I love.”

“We all stayed out until 4 a.m., got back to the hotel and ordered room service, and had the best few days,” Vogt recalls.
As for his current mental state, Voight said his goal is to “re-strategize” and stay positive.

“It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision. Everything felt so uncertain about what the future held,” she told People magazine about her decision to decline the Miss USA title. “But in all things in life, I have always remained a very firm believer and believed that there is a plan for everyone.”
She continues: “When something doesn’t go the way you expected, you need to reclaim your power, change your focus, and re-strategize. On the other hand, it’s perfectly legitimate and normal to grieve for someone who has died.” Regardless of your dreams or experiences, it’s important to keep a positive outlook on the future. It may turn out to be better than you ever imagined.
