The ACC Baseball Championship schedule was officially announced Sunday morning.
The conference tournament begins on Tuesday. Florida State will be the No. 5 seed and will play No. 9 Georgia Tech and No. 4 Virginia in Pool D.
The Seminoles begin pool play against the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and will face the Cavaliers at 11 a.m. Friday.
The Seminoles defeated the Yellow Jackets in two of the final three games of the season. FSU finished the regular season with a record of 39-12 (17-12 in the ACC), ranking fourth in the ACC standings.
The ACC Tournament will be held at Turist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina.
NCAA Regionals in jeopardy for FSU baseball
Losing is not an option for the Seminoles.
While FSU will be focused on winning its ninth ACC title, the real prize will be hosting the regional tournament of the NCAA Baseball Tournament. FSU has not hosted a regional tournament since 2018.
In Warren Nolan’s Baseball, FSU ranked 8th in RPI and played at the 30th strength on the schedule. The Seminoles are 7-7 against the first quad, 6-5 against the second, 11-1 against the third and 15-1 against the fourth.
Where will FSU be projected in the mock NCAA tournament?
In American baseball, the Seminoles earned the No. 7 seed in the mock NCAA tournament, narrowly clinching a spot in the regional and super regional tournaments.
D1 baseball FSU earned the No. 9 seed. Enough to host a regional, but not a super regional. There’s also his FSU combination with Wake Forest, which ranks one spot above him in FSU.
