The Florida State baseball team ended the regular season with a series win against Georgia Tech. His 2024 ACC Baseball Tournament has begun and FSU is ready to take on Georgia Tech once again.
The Seminoles (39-14, 17-12 ACC) are the fifth seed in the ACC Tournament, and the Yellow Jackets (31-21, 15-15) are the ninth seed. Georgia Tech will play fourth-seeded Virginia on Wednesday, while Florida State will wait until Friday to play the Cavaliers. The team with the best performance advances to Saturday’s semifinals.
ACC Player of the Year James Tibbs III hit 3-for-9 for FSU in last weekend’s series, hitting his ACC-leading 24th home run, while All-ACC second-teamer Cam Smith went 7-for-12. He had 7 hits and 7 RBIs, giving him 70 RBIs for the season. . Pitcher Jamie Arnold allowed 11 hits and two walks in 6/3 innings, but gave up just three runs in Thursday’s win.

Georgia Tech’s All-ACC first-teamer Drew Burress hit 5-for-12 for his 22nd home run of the season, while second-teamer Matthew Ellis also hit 5-for-12 for his 16th home run of the season. Edan Finatelli allowed five runs in five innings in Thursday’s loss.
