Gandapur announces rally in Peshawar on Imran’s directive

Following directives from PTI founder Imran Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced that a grand rally will be held in Peshawar at the end of the month, though he did not specify the exact date.

In a video message, CM Gandapur said the date of the rally would be disclosed five days prior to the event. “We stand with the founder in the movement for freedom,” he vowed.

He added that the rally will be held in support of real freedom and the supremacy of the Constitution and the law.

“Following the founder’s guidance, we are organizing the rally while taking the ongoing flood situation into account. I will announce the date five days ahead and personally lead the event,” Gandapur said.

The chief minister emphasized that the rally is part of a fight for justice, urging everyone to take part. “This rally should become a memorable event in Pakistan’s history,” he said.

Gandapur also highlighted that the political gathering aims to send a clear message to opponents and the world about public aspirations, expressing optimism that the movement for real freedom initiated by Imran Khan will succeed.

Ironically, Gandapur’s absence from previous street protests and rallies has long raised eyebrows, fueling speculation and conspiracy theories about his commitment to the party’s cause. His sudden disappearance from the October 2024 PTI protest, followed by an appearance in the K-P Assembly, only deepened doubts about his loyalty.

In view of the past practice, his presence at PTI demonstrations is closely monitored by party workers, who often surround him to prevent an early exit.
