Euro 2024 kicks off on Friday with a month of matches scheduled to determine the European champions. Italy are the reigning champions, but England and France are the favourites to dethrone, with hosts Germany, Spain and Portugal also expected to be favourites in what is expected to be an exciting cup competition.
Many of the world’s best talent Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka will all be trying their best to lead the Three Lions to glory, but France’s Kylian Mbappe, Germany’s Florian Wirtz and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo will also likely have something to say about the match.
There will be a lot of pressure on hosts Germany after their failure to win the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, but England will probably feel it most: the national team has never won the tournament, their last major trophy being the 1966 World Cup.

- Arena Aufschalke, Cologne Stadium, Waldstadion, Leipzig Stadium: The matches leading up to the round of 16 will be played at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen (Schalke 04), RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne (FC Köln), Deutsche Bank-Park in Frankfurt (Eintracht Frankfurt) and the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig (RB Leipzig), all of which have been renamed by UEFA for the tournament.
- Stuttgart Arena, Volksparkstadion, Düsseldorf Arena: The matches up to the quarter-finals will be played at the MHP-Arena in Stuttgart (VfB Stuttgart), the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg (Hamburger SV) and the MerkurSpiel-Arena in Düsseldorf (Fortuna Düsseldorf), all of which have been renamed by UEFA for the tournament.
- Fusval Arena Munich and BVB Stadion Dortmund: The first four matches will be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich (Bayern Munich) and Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund (Borussia Dortmund), both stadiums renamed by UEFA for the tournament.
- Olympic Stadium: All matches leading up to the final will be played at the Olympiastadion (Hertha BSC) in Berlin.
