This partnership will allow GoodWe and Sunnova to meet the growing demands of commercial and industrial customers who want stability in their energy costs.
GoodWe Technologies, a solar inverter and smart energy specialist, announced it has been added to Sunnova Energy’s list of approved vendors. This partnership will enable Sunnova to offer GoodWe’s SMT-US inverters for medium to large commercial and industrial (C&I) solar power facilities.
This partnership will allow GoodWe and Sunnova to meet the growing demands of commercial and industrial customers who want stability in their energy costs.
GoodWe reports that its SMT-US three-phase 50/60 kW inverters meet safety shutdown standards with built-in rapid shutdown transmitters that improve safety and design flexibility without the need to install additional module-level hardware. They are also safety compliant with Type II surge protection for both DC and AC to prevent voltage spikes.
SMT-US inverters feature up to 6 MPPTs and up to 15A DC input current per string for compatibility with high-power modules. GoodWe believe that the inverter’s 150% DC input overload, 110% AC output overload, and 180~980V wide input operating range will improve the system uptime and the system’s energy output during the system life. claims to increase. Additionally, the company says the inverter features a unique fuse-free design, which increases reliability and reduces operating costs while reducing maintenance requirements.
“GoodWe’s C&I inverters offer benefits at every stage of the system lifecycle, from design flexibility during planning, to simplified O&M, to increased system uptime after interconnection.” said Michael Mendik, Country Manager, GoodWe USA and Canada. “As market demand increases and EPCs look for cost-effective and competitive solutions to increase growth and competitiveness, GoodWe collaborates with Sunnova, an industry-leading energy services company with a nationwide presence. By doing so, we are expanding and simplifying access to our products across the United States.”
GoodWe provides products and solutions tailored for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale PV systems. The company reports that it has installed over 52 million kW of equipment in more than 100 countries and regions.
Sunnova Energy International, a provider of solar power, energy storage, and home energy adaptive services, recently announced its Q1 2024 earnings report and recent partnerships, including Home Depot, of which it is now the sole provider. It’s becoming a hot topic. Provides solar power and energy storage for Home Depot customers.
In its less-than-stellar earnings report, the company noted that revenues continued to decline amid a tough macroeconomic environment for the U.S. residential solar industry. Investors were concerned about the company’s ability to generate sufficient cash. In response, the company continued to reduce operating costs and preserved unrestricted cash, which increased by $18.9 million in the first quarter compared to the previous quarter.
