Google AI Mode enters Pakistan

Pakistan now has access to Google’s newly launched “AI Mode”, which promises to offer users an advanced AI-powered search engine. The tool is a custom version of Gemini 2.5, which allows users to pose longer, more complex, questions that would have previously required several separate searches.

Google, in an earlier statement, had said that early tests indicate that searches are already two to three times longer than traditional searches, highlighting the tool’s value for exploratory activities like product comparisons, trip planning, or solving “how-to” queries. “It dives deep to answer multiple questions at once, with helpful links for further exploration,” read the statement.

The AI Mode is now available in Pakistan and can be acessed through the Google App on Android and iOS, also on the mobile and desktop versions of Google Search

According to Google, Pakistani users can use the AI tool for a multitude of things, such as “planning a trip” by writing a prompt about a trip to a specific place and specific time. The AI model would give suggestions to do with everything from the places to see to the places to eat.

The AI Mode uses a “query fan-out” technique, which allows the tool to break down the user’s question into subtopics and run multiple searches simultaneously.

The tool uses live information from the Knowledge Graph, product databases, and web content to produce accurate answers. In the off-chance that the system shows low confidence in answers, the system would default to classic search results.

Google is confident that this tool will deliver deeper, smarter, and more comprehensive results, but acknowledged that, as with any early-stage AI system, there is margin for error.
