Jake Torpey struck out 12 batters and the Greater Lowell Tech baseball team held off Lowell Catholic for a 6-4 CAC victory Sunday at Hadley Field in Lowell.
Torpey (6-1) allowed three hits and one run in six innings for the Gryphons (14-2, 7-2 CAC). Brendan Arsenault hit a triple and scored two runs. Nolan Steese added a hit and two RBIs, and Griffon Morales (RBI) and Dillon Paglicia each had one hit.
