The United States is preparing to host the top national teams from CONCACAF and CONMEBOL in this summer’s Copa America tournament.
As part of its preparations to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the United States, along with Canada and Mexico, will host matches from coast to coast, with matches scheduled in New Jersey, Florida, Texas and California.
The pressure of being the host nation can have a galvanising effect on both teams and countries, as has been seen in previous Copa America and FIFA World Cups.
Coach Gregg Berhalter will be hoping to use the home crowd as a major motivator this summer as the USA looks to build on the momentum of their 2016 semifinal appearance.
