Houghton, Michigan – The Michigan Tech volleyball team dropped a thrilling five-set match against its Northern Michigan rival Wednesday at SDC Gym. The Huskies had four match points, but the Wildcats won in overtime 20-18.
Tech (11-10, 5-6 GLIAC) had three blocks early in the fifth inning to jump out to a four-point lead. NMU fought back and tied the score at 11 points.

The Wildcats (14-7, 8-3 GLIAC) went on a 9-2 run in the third to take control and take a 2-1 advantage with a 25-20 win. The Huskies fought back in the fourth inning to tie the game again. The home team hit .452 on target, with five players recording three kills.
Meg Raabe led the Huskies with 21 kills in the game, reaching the 20-kill mark for the second time this season. She hit .352 and also had six digs and four block assists.
