Huzaifa Waleed Gill secures silver for Pakistan at European shooting championship

Pakistani shooter Huzaifa Waleed Gill won a silver medal in the 800-yard individual event at the European F-Class Long Range Championship 2025 held in the United Kingdom, according to official competition results.

The event featured participation from over 260 shooters representing 18 countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, the UK, and Pakistan.

Pakistan was represented by a 12-member team, which scored 1,106 points out of a possible 1,200, the championship’s official report confirmed.

Team Pakistan officials on-site confirmed that Gill’s performance raised the Pakistani flag on the global stage, highlighting her dedication and efforts over months of rigorous practice and preparation for international competitions. Gill’s achievement has brought recognition to Pakistan in the global shooting circuit.

The European F-Class Long Range Championship is an annual competition governed by international shooting federations, featuring standardized long-range events for individual and team shooters.

The 2025 edition included multiple events, with the 800-yard individual event showcasing Gill’s silver-winning performance.

A post shared on the National Long Range Shooting Association of Pakistan’s Instagram handle also confirmed the medal win.

Officials from Team Pakistan stated that Gill’s achievement reflects her commitment and perseverance, as she underwent intensive training to compete at the highest international level. “Her hard work and discipline have set a benchmark for aspiring shooters in Pakistan,” a team spokesperson said.

Pakistan’s participation in the championship marks continued involvement in global shooting competitions, with future events scheduled across Europe and Asia.

Officials confirmed that the country aims to expand its presence in upcoming championships, encouraging more national shooters to participate.
