hyderabad: The city police have imposed restrictions on movement and sale of liquor in view of the Lok Sabha elections and Secunderabad Cantt by-elections in the twin cities scheduled for May 13. The restrictions will remain in place from May 18th. May 13th from 11am to 6pm.

Voter rallies, door-to-door operations and carrying of sticks, lathes, firearms and other weapons with or without flags are prohibited in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the Hyderabad Police said in a press release on Thursday, May 9. announced. . Police officers (including home guards and SPOs), military/para-military personnel and election officials working in Hyderabad and Secunderabad are exempted from this.

Section 144 will be imposed in Hyderabad and Secunderabad on May 13, polling day, banning gathering of more than four people in one place. The order will be effective May 13 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters in Secunderabad and Hyderabad will have to form separate queues for male and female voters. Men and women cannot form multiple rows.

Police close liquor stores, hotels, restaurant clubs and other establishments selling or serving alcoholic beverages (including non-exclusive clubs, star hotels and restaurants) even if they have been issued with a different category of license. ordered.
