- Voting has been completed in 25 states and union territories, with 428 out of a total of 543 constituencies being voted in. The final phase of voting is scheduled for June 1, with counting of votes to take place on June 4.
- According to the final voter turnout figures for the fifth phase released by the Election Commission on Thursday, the overall turnout was 62.2 percent, lower than the turnout in the previous phases of 69.2 percent in the fourth phase, 65.7 percent in the third phase, 66.7 percent in the second phase and 66.1 percent in the first phase.
- The Association for Democratic Reforms reports that around 39 percent of candidates in the sixth Lok Sabha elections are millionaires, with an average net worth of Rs 621 crore.
