RAWALPINDI:

Two Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed and two others apprehended by Pakistani security forces during an intelligence-based operation in the Duki district of Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“On 28 June 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Duki District of Balochistan, on the reported presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan. During the conduct of operation, own forces effectively engaged the Indian sponsored terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, two Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell, while two terrorists were apprehended,” said an ISPR news release.

The statement added that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the Indian-sponsored terrorists, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region.

A sanitisation operation is currently underway to clear the area of any remaining threats.

“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice,” the statement read.

In response to the operation, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday commended the security forces for their swift and successful action against the Indian-sponsored terrorist network.

The president and the prime minister both lauded the elimination of two terrorists linked to the Fitna al Hindustan group.

According to statement, the president stated that the nation was proud of its security forces for their “professional expertise”.

PM Shehbaz echoed this sentiment. “The security forces were acting like bulwark to eradicate terrorism from the country,” he stated.
