Jessica Springsteen will not be going to Paris as part of the U.S. team.

The equestrian daughter of musician Bruce Springsteen was not selected for the U.S. equestrian show jumping three-person team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Kent Farrington (horse: Graia), Laura Clout (Baloutineu) and McLain Ward (Ilex) will make up the show jumping team and will also ride individually in show jumping.

Springsteen was part of the U.S. Olympic silver-medal-winning show jumping team with Ward and Clout in Tokyo, her first major international competition. She was on the list of 10 finalists to represent the United States at the Paris Games announced in April, but did not make the final cut.

Jessica Springsteen will compete in the Tokyo Olympics.

After this weekend’s tournament in Monaco, Springsteen was 89th in the Global Champions League standings, up from 14th going into Tokyo three years ago.

Bruce Springsteen had scheduled a two-week break from his European tour to coincide with the 2024 Olympics. If Jessica had been selected for the national team, “The Boss” would have been headed to Versailles, site of the equestrian events at the Paris Olympics, to cheer on his 32-year-old daughter.

“The 2020 Tokyo Olympics was such an amazing experience, but that year, the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions meant I wasn’t able to bring my family and friends to the Olympics,” Springsteen told Harper’s BAZAAR in May. “So I thought, ‘Oh, I want to go to the Olympics again and share it with my family, who have been so supportive of my career for so many years.'”
