Jim Cramer calls Nvidia’s stock slide a buying opportunity — here’s why

CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Tuesday that Nvidia’s stock slide to its lowest price in nearly three months is a buying opportunity for investors. Shares of the AI chipmaking king declined 6% in morning trading after The Information reported that Meta Platforms is considering using Google’s tensor processing units (TPUs) for its data centers in 2027. Nvidia’s stock has also been hit recently as worries about the valuations of AI-related companies and massive data center spending commitments have put tech stocks and the overall market under pressure. When asked on “Squawk on the Street” whether he would put fresh money into Nvidia, Cramer said, “Yes. I think Nvidia has been slighted here.” He pointed out that Nvidia reported a strong quarter last week, confirming visibility out to $500 billion in orders for Blackwell and the next-generation Vera Rubin chip platforms. He added that Nvidia is trading at a low price-to-earnings multiple. Cramer, a longtime proponent of “owning, not trading” Nvidia stock, said Tuesday, “I’m not seeing customers run away from them. I see some customers being price sensitive.” He argued that such price sensitivity won’t knock down prices for Nvidia’s graphics processing units (GPUs), which are recognized as the gold standard for running AI workloads. “Price goes down when there is no demand,” Cramer said. “The demand is insatiable for Nvidia.” Cramer’s Charitable Trust, the stock portfolio used by the CNBC Investing Club , owns Nvidia, Meta, and Broadcom.
