Washington DC [US]July 27: US Vice President Kamala Harris signs papers, officially announcing her candidacy for the US presidency and ensuring her People Powered Campaign wins the November election.

Harris took to social media platform X to stress that her people-powered campaign would win in November.

She further reiterated that she will work hard to get every vote.

“Today I signed the papers officially declaring my candidacy for President of the United States. I will work hard to count every vote, and our People Powered Campaign will be victorious in November,” Kamala Harris said in the post.

With Biden’s support, Vice President Kamala Harris is set to become the Democratic candidate in the US presidential election on November 5th.

Earlier on Friday morning, former US President Barack Obama formally endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his candidate for US presidency, following Joe Biden’s recent withdrawal from the presidential race.

President Obama said he and former first lady Michelle Obama are committed to helping Harris win the presidential election in November.

In a post by X, Barack Obama said, “Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris and told her we think she’d be a great President of the United States and we have her full support. At this critical time for our country, we’ll do everything in our power to help her win the election in November, and we hope you’ll join us.”

Earlier, actor and well-known Democratic fundraiser George Clooney publicly endorsed Harris in the US presidential election.
