NEW DELHI: After sparking a political firestorm with his comments about the Prime Minister’s resignation, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that while it is normal for the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership to hit back at prime ministers, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi… He said he has not made any statement clarifying whether he will abide by the resignation of the Prime Minister.”Are the rules made by himself or just for LK Advani? ”
He also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership, which had vociferously maintained that the 1975 standard did not apply to Mr. Modi, said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party wins the Lok Sabha elections, Yogi Adityanath will It said it confirmed that he had said that he would be ousted as Uttar Pradesh chief minister within two months.
Kejriwal on Saturday responded to a question about a statement by the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership refuting his claim that Prime Minister Modi will retire next September, when he turns 75, and hand over power to Amit Shah. He also claimed that Adityanath would be removed within the next two months if the Bharatiya Janata Party succeeds in forming the central government.
On Saturday itself, Amit Shah said, “Mr Modi ji will continue to lead the Bharatiya Janata Party and the country not only till 2029 but beyond…There is no need for Kejriwal and the people of the Indo-bloc to be happy.”
At a press conference announcing the ‘Kejriwal Ki Guarantee’, the AAP supremo said Prime Minister Modi had put in place this retirement rule and senior leaders like Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi had retired.
“When I mentioned this, several leaders said that this rule does not apply to Mr. Modi. I understand that it is normal for the Prime Minister to make statements in support of this. But the Prime Minister has said nothing about this. It is their wish that the leaders will not allow him to retire. ” he said.
“I don’t think the Prime Minister will not follow the rules that he has set himself. He (PM Modi) will not say that he will not follow the rules that forced LK Advani to retire. (Otherwise) this rule is LK Let me say it was made for Advani… My appeal to Modiji is that he should say who will succeed him. Otherwise there will be a big fight (for the top post). “I guess so,” he said.
Referring to Adityanath, Kejriwal spoke about Prime Minister Modi’s ‘one country, one leader’ plan in which “opposition leaders will be jailed and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, including the UP chief minister, will be removed”. said.
“Yesterday, when leaders spoke about Modiji, not a single leader spoke about Yogi Adityanath. I said he will be removed from the post within two months. “Nobody said Yogi won’t be removed. One thing has become clear within 24 hours that he will be removed within two months.”
