Khloe Kardashian explored her relationship with her body on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Khloe Kardashian talks about her fitness journey The KardashiansDuring this week’s episode, she admitted that if Ozempic, a trendy diabetes medication and weight loss tool, had been available when she was first trying to lose weight, she would have taken it.
During the July 11 episode of the Hulu show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the youngest Kardashian sister, 40, opened up about her passion for working out and fitness during a visit to the Fabletics offices as part of her partnership with the sportswear brand. “Working out makes me happy. Doing something that’s authentic to me and that I truly love makes my heart so happy,” Kardashian confessed.
Before finding her passion for fitness, Kardashian tried a lot of other diets that weren’t all that effective. “If Ozempic had been available when I was overweight, I probably would have tried it because I’ve tried other things,” she continued. “I’ve tried every fad diet out there that’s not a real diet that actually works, which is a lifestyle change.”
Now, looking back, Kardashian said she “wants to encourage health” rather than “the number on the scale.” The Good American co-founder explained, “I just think people should be active. I don’t really care about what their body looks like. I think they should be healthy and strong for themselves.”
While meeting with the Fabletics team, Kardashian revealed that she’s recently become obsessed with “circuit training that incorporates cardio intervals,” “so I’m always getting my heart rate up and down.” The reality star revealed that when she’s preparing for a photo shoot that will “show a lot of skin,” she steps up her workouts a notch. “And I always celebrate by having a big pizza,” she added of the balance she’s found in her life. “Just cheese. I’m a kid’s menu kind of girl.”
Aligning with companies and partnerships you truly believe in has been a big lesson for the TV personality over the years. “It’s definitely very tempting when someone dangles a big check in front of you and asks you to submit for something. I get it,” she confessed during Thursday’s episode. “When I first started this show, I would be so excited if someone asked me to do something. I would definitely take the money and run back to the early 2000s. But you learn your lesson, you learn the value of your platform, how powerful your voice is… And I don’t want to waste people’s money.”
The Kardashians New episodes will be available every Thursday on Hulu.
