South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) and Fox Business host Stuart Barney spoke to each other in an interview Tuesday, in which the governor said she would shoot her dog despite growing criticism. tried to defend her decision, which resulted in her telling the governor “enough is enough.” ”
Bernie asked whether including the anecdote in his new memoir would destroy his political chances as former President Trump’s vice presidential running mate, underscoring his serious doubts about the governor.
“Well, I don’t think you have your facts straight,” Noem responded. “This dog was a ferocious and dangerous dog, and it was a working dog. I had to choose between keeping my children safe and an animal that would kill livestock and attack people.”

Bernie told the governor that Fox Business is “receiving a ton of emails” from voters saying they don’t want to vote for the person who killed the dog. He then asked her if she thought she could still be President Trump’s running mate.
Nomu said she speaks to Trump “all the time,” and Bernie repeatedly asked if the former president had asked about her dog.
“Enough, Stuart. This interview is ridiculous, what are you doing now?” Noem responded after trying to change the subject. “So we better stop. That’s right. That’s right. Let’s talk about real topics that Americans care about.”
Varney also asked Noem about the dog’s age. She has come under fire for shooting and killing her approximately 14-month-old wire-haired pointer, “Cricket,” who misbehaved during her hunting trip.
She told Varney it was not a puppy, but an “adult working dog.” He interrupted her by saying, “The dog was 14 months old,” but she replied that Cricket was “a year and a half.”
Bernie also pressed her on whether it would be politically good to include the story in her book, which includes conversations with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley. It has also been discovered that there are some inaccuracies about the meeting.
