Georgia Tech is on a recruiting spree right now, even pulling off a late-night upset last night by signing defensive tackle Kamron Cullins from SMU to Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets’ 2025 class is currently ranked 14th by 247Sports and could climb outside the top 10 if they continue to land some of their top targets.
One of the most intriguing battles right now for Georgia Tech is the acquisition of 2025 wide receiver Landon Roldan. Roldan is a rising star prospect this summer, and Georgia Tech and Georgia are currently in a fierce battle to acquire him. Roldan took an official visit to Atlanta last weekend, and is in Athens this weekend for an official visit, where some scouting experts expect him to land a position.
National 247Sports scouting expert Tom Loy recently used his crystal ball to predict Roldan would join the Bulldogs, and Kentucky insider Josh Edwards made a similar prediction. A crystal ball prediction doesn’t guarantee Roldan will join Kirby Smart at Georgia, but it does appear to be heading in that direction. We may see some clarification on this scouting after this weekend, so stay tuned and keep an eye out for more information.
There is still a long way to go, but this class is shaping up to be Georgia Tech’s best in years. The Yellow Jackets have a top 15 class and are currently ranked second in the ACC behind Clemson. Brent Key and his staff have done a great job recruiting Georgia players and that hard work is now paying off with this class.
