Police are investigating a gruesome murder in downtown Las Vegas. In the case, a 29-year-old man is accused of attacking another person on a city street and eating part of the victim’s face, according to court documents.

Colin Ichiro, a Czech national, was arrested Sunday at the Clark County Jail in connection with a murder that occurred along Las Vegas Boulevard that morning, according to information from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

A criminal complaint obtained Wednesday by USA TODAY identifies the murder victim as Kenneth Brown.

Police said the victim’s cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after an autopsy.

According to the complaint, Czech punched and punched Brown, causing him to die when his head hit the concrete.

A 7-Eleven employee saw a man attacking a customer and called 911.

According to a news release, officers responded to the scene around 4:45 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of an assault between the suspect and another man in front of a store on South Las Vegas Boulevard. He said he had responded.

This area is near the Haunted Museum, just north of the famous Little White Wedding Chapel.

According to court documents, a witness called 911 to report that the suspect had attacked a male customer in the 7-Eleven parking lot and “slammed him to the ground.” Police documents say the suspect was “banging his head on the concrete,” screaming and acting paranoid.

About 45 minutes later, someone called 911 again to report the same suspect was on top of another man at a nearby bus stop and was “eating the man’s face while he was on the ground.” continuing.

Czech Colin Ichiro, 29, was jailed on April 28, 2024, on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Kenneth Brown.

The victim lost his eyes and ears.

Shortly afterward, arriving officers found the suspect and victim at the bus stop, and said the victim, later identified as Brown, was unresponsive and bleeding from the head.

According to court documents, officers observed a suspect, identified as a Czech national, kneeling next to Brown with “biological substances in his hair, mouth, and clothing.”

When officers questioned Czech at the scene, he said he had been attacked by the victim, police wrote.

Brown was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He suffered a large cut to his head and was missing an eye and ear, according to court documents.

Suspect said he was “possessed” by something.

After he was arrested and taken into custody, a detective asked Czech what he had used to hurt the victim, and Czech replied, “My teeth,” court documents reveal. Czech also told detectives that he “ate out” the man’s eyeballs and ears with his teeth.

The document goes on to say that Czech was “in and out of consciousness,” and told officers that Czech was not in the home and was “possessed” at the time of the attack. He said he had been awake “for five days in a row” because of this. Police wrote that they instructed him to kill a person named “Drake” (whom he said he did not know).

Czech remains jailed without bail after his first appearance before a judge Wednesday, according to Clark County Justice Court records.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Las Vegas Police or Crimestoppers.
