The Salvation Army has opened disaster relief centers in Nebraska and Iowa to assist individuals and families affected by Friday’s tornadoes. The Omaha Salvation Army relies on partnerships with local businesses to support disaster relief efforts. The Salvation Army Disaster Relief Center is a temporary “free pop-up store” where donations of supplies are collected during disaster relief efforts. Sunday will be the first time the Salvation Army of Omaha will open a DRC since the 2019 floods. The Disaster Relief Center, based at Bright Idea, will be open for those in need on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be stocked with items such as water, nonperishable food, cleaning supplies, and personal care items. The Salvation Army said resources are available to anyone affected. However, you must present a valid ID. The Salvation Army is accepting donations at the Brite Ideas-based DRC from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday He said the Omaha Salvation Army is here to help, and anyone in need can take advantage of the service. The Salvation Army said resources are available to anyone affected, but they must show valid identification.

The Salvation Army is accepting donations at the Brite Ideas base DRC on Sundays from 9am to 3pm.

The Omaha Salvation Army said they are here to help anyone in need and encourage people to take advantage of this service.
