san antonio – The San Antonio LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is once again partnering with the National LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and Grubhub Community Foundation to provide support grants to provide meals at local LGBTQ-owned and affiliated restaurants, cafes, and bars. I am.
The types of grants awarded through the Community Impact Grant Program range from $5,000 to $25,000. These can be used for “anything from supporting employee wages and incentives, maintaining or upgrading existing infrastructure, to delivering marketing and PR activities,” among other things.
Luis Vazquez, executive director of the San Antonio LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, said this is the third year his organization has partnered with NGLCC and Grubhub Community Foundation. He issued the following statement:
“LGBTQ+-owned businesses contribute more than $1.7 trillion to the U.S. economy and drive job creation and innovative business solutions across the country. NGLCC Community Impact Grant Program in partnership with Grubhub Community Foundation Through this, we reaffirm our commitment to building a more inclusive and prosperous economic environment for LGBTQ+-owned and related businesses in the region. Building on the success of last year’s work in which we received growth and development grants, we will continue to provide equitable access and economic opportunity for LGBTQ+ and related businesses.”
Partnership with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce or Grubhub is not a requirement for application. Eligibility requirements to apply for the grant are as follows:

Be an LGBTQ+-owned or LGBTQ+ ally-owned restaurant, bar, or cafe that serves food.

Please provide proof that your business is LGBTQ+ owned or affiliated with an LGBTQ+ property

Facilities that have not received two or more NGLCC Community Impact Grants in the past several years
