Hamirpur/Shimla: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party will have four seats in Himachal Pradesh if it wins all four assembly seats and by-elections in six assembly constituencies in the state. He said he expected to win six seats.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate Thakur, who was elected from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, said that the people are satisfied with the performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government and want Narendra Modi to become prime minister for a third term. He said there was.

“We built Ram Mandir. The Congress said they would build a mosque. The opposition said they would destroy Sanatan and equate it with HIV-Aids and malaria,” Thakur said at Gandhi Chowk in Hamirpur. He gave a speech at a large gathering.

“As the Mughals and the British came and went, so too does the Congress go. Sanatan Ta, Sanatan Hai and Sanatan Rahega,” he added.

Thakur says Congress says Pakistan has nuclear bombs, but truth is, just like the great old party is struggling to get votes, Islamabad is also struggling to secure food. , he said.

“We defeated Pakistan in the Kargil wars in 1965 and 1971. If Pakistan turns its attention to India, it will not take long for us to take it up completely,” Thakur said.

“They say Pakistan ‘doesn’t wear bangles’ but let me say that our sisters who wear bangles and carry AK-47 rifles have the courage to kill intruders,” he said. added.

Thakur said the Bharatiya Janata Party never changed its ideology and kept its promises.

The BJP leader said the people ousted the “corrupt” Congress in 2014 and installed tea seller Narendra Modi as prime minister.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress government in the state, Thakur said 15 months have passed and the Rs 1,500 per month promised by the party on the eve of the last assembly polls has not reached women’s banks. He stated that no money would be received in the future. He is taken into custody and accused of deceiving the public.

He asked the youth whether they got jobs worth Rs 500,000 as promised and whether the Congress government bought milk at Rs 100 per liter and cow dung at Rs 2 per kg.

Thakur, the BJP candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, said love for the people was his earning for 20 years.

Former chief ministers Prem Kumar Dhumal and Jai Ram Thakur joined Thakur on stage, along with Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajeev Bindal and state party chief Soundan Singh.

Opposition leader Jai Ram Thakur said the results would be announced on June 4, but the public had already seen that Mr Modi became prime minister and Anurag Thakur beat Hamil by more than 500,000 points. I expected him to win from the pool.

Bindal urged party workers to visit each household to ensure victory for the BJP.

Earlier, Chief Minister Anurag Thakur had brought out a massive roadshow ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’ in Hamirpur district and said the enthusiasm of the people clearly showed their determination to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Thakur, a four-time MP from Hamirpur, started the program early in the morning and visited the Kuldevi Awadevi temple to seek blessings for herself and the party. He also received blessings from his parents. He went on a roadshow from Awadevi to Hamirpur in an open jeep.

He also offered prayers at a Shiva temple attended by hundreds of local party leaders and workers.

Bharatiya Janata Party flags, banners and displays of goods could be seen all over the town. Bharatiya Janata Party workers and supporters held placards and pictures of Thakur in their hands and raised slogans in support of the minister and the party.

Thousands of men, women and youth from Una, Bilaspur, Mandi and Kangra districts also participated in the procession. The queue was so large that commuters faced difficulty crossing Hamirpur town.

The roadshow was organized a day after the Congress made a show of strength after candidate Satpal Raizada filed his nomination papers from Hamirpur seat on Friday.

Thakur’s father, former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, said: P.T.I. He said over the phone that he was happy to see the support of the people for his son and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He said the Bharatiya Janata Party will win all four Lok Sabha and six Vidhan Sabha seats in the state.
