New Delhi: The fifth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections witnessed significant voter turnout in various states, including Maharashtra. Indian cricketers Suryakumar Yadav and Ajinkya Rahane exercised their democratic rights by voting in Mumbai.

India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav shared a photo of his inked finger on social media and called on people to “shape the future of our country” by participating in the electoral process. Sachin Tendulkar also exercised his right to vote in the ongoing Sabah elections in Mumbai. It is worth mentioning that the Election Commission (EC) has recognized Tendulkar as a “national icon” to increase voter awareness and participation in the electoral process.

Sachin’s son Arjun Tendulkar, who plays for the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), accompanied his father to the voting booth.

However, sources said Sachin’s wife Anjali and daughter Sara were unable to attend the convocation ceremony in Mumbai after Sara’s graduation. After voting, both Sachin and Arjun proudly showed their inked fingers to the media.

Extensive arrangements were made to ensure a smooth and safe voting experience, including 2,000 flying units, 2,105 static surveillance teams, 881 video surveillance teams, and 502 video viewing teams monitoring 94,732 polling stations. I did.
