Louisiana Tech University and its College of Engineering and Science have announced a new doctoral program aimed at engineering and technology professionals. The university is now accepting applications for its Doctor of Engineering and Technology Management (DETM) program, which will prepare people for leadership positions in a growing and rapidly changing technology world.
DETM expands Louisiana Tech’s commitment to innovation in education and builds on the success of its Master’s of Engineering and Technology Management program by integrating more specialized, advanced coursework with hands-on, original research through which graduates provide new insights and solutions to engineering, technology or management challenges.
DETM students delve into in-depth topics such as technology management, strategic planning, and decision analysis – skills essential to innovation and breakthroughs across disciplines. Through these studies, students acquire management, leadership, engineering, and technology principles relevant to their field of expertise. This knowledge enables students to effectively lead teams of technical professionals and make informed decisions about technology investments and strategy.
The program is customized to fit the busy schedules of working professionals and features flexible scheduling, including online classes, to fit perfectly around students’ professional commitments. Graduates of the DETM program are exceptionally prepared to take on senior roles in their careers.
