This constituency is located in the North-Eastern part of India and in the Western part of Arunachal Pradesh. This constituency includes the following districts of Arunachal Pradesh: Tawang. Lumla Parliamentary constituency can be categorized as: The reservation status of this constituency is Scheduled Tribe. 1. Lumla will go to polls on Friday, 19 April 2024 along with the first phase of voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha general elections.

Voting took place in Lumla constituency on Friday, April 19, 2024, in the first phase of the 2024 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Elections. Counting of votes will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

In the 2014 elections, this constituency voted in the first phase on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, with the results announced on Friday, May 16, 2014.
In 2009, Lumula voted for the first phase on Tuesday, 13 October 2009, with the results scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, 22 October 2009. However, as there was only one candidate in the constituency, no voting was required in this seat and the candidate was announced as the unopposed winner.

In 2014, Jambei Tashi of the INC won the constituency by defeating Tegu Tse Rinpoche of the IND by 1,499 votes, receiving 20.97% of the total votes. The INC received 59.52% of the votes in the constituency.
In the 2009 state assembly elections, Jambe Tashi of the INC won the seat unopposed.

As per the latest delimitation document for Lumla constituency, the area of the constituency covers the following parts of Arunachal Pradesh: (1) Lumla District excluding the villages of Bongleng and Karun, (2) Zemithang District, (3) 1. Kudung, 2. Pamagal, 3. Sakpret, and (4) Tongleng village of Tawang District.
