Industry veteran Daniel P. Olohan has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MAPFRE USA, effective August 1, 2024.
Olohan has been with the company since 2006 and has served as its general counsel and secretary since 2008.
In addition to his new role, Olohan will also join MAPFRE USA’s Board of Directors.
“Dan brings strong leadership to this role and a deep understanding of MAPFRE USA’s business and industry. With many years of overseeing our legal and regulatory affairs, he is uniquely qualified and positioned to advance our operational strategy and ensure continued efficiency and excellence across the organization,” commented Jamie Tamayo, president and CEO of MAPFRE USA.
At the same time, José Manuel Corral, currently COO of MAPFRE USA since taking up the position in 2021, has been appointed by MAPFRE SA as Chief Executive Officer of MAPFRE VIDA and General Manager of the Bancassurance Channel of MAPFRE ESPAÑA, effective August 1, 2024.
Corral, who has served the organization in various roles for over 30 years, will join MAPFRE ESPAÑA’s Board of Directors.
